The Z-15 Zion-15 pairs an aluminum alloy receiver set with a matte black anodized finish and a 16-inch threaded barrel topped by a birdcage-style flash hider. It uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system and is chambered in 5.56mm NATO. Manufacturer markings read "IWI US, INC MIDDLETOWN, PA," and the receiver is marked "CAL: MULTI."
The IWI-branded free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard features a full-length 1913 top rail. Installed accessories include an M-LOK QD sling socket, a 1913 rail section at 6 o'clock, a low-profile hand stop at 6 o'clock, and textured rail-cover panels on both sides of the handguard. An Ultradine flip-up rear sight is installed; no front sight is installed.
The upper receiver includes a forward assist, brass deflector, and ejection-port cover. Controls include a manual safety selector with SAFE/SEMI markings. The rifle is equipped with an adjustable stock and a B5 Systems polymer pistol grip. Length of pull is 11.25 inches.
