Built for Buckeye Sports Supply in 1988, this S32X-marked New Model Blackhawk comes from a limited distributor run of approximately 5,000–5,200 revolvers. It falls within the dedicated 610-xxxxx serial block used for this series and carries distinctive model-specific details, including the Buckeye leaf emblem etched on the topstrap.
This is a factory convertible with two unfluted cylinders: .32 H&R Magnum and .32-20 Winchester. The .32 H&R Magnum cylinder is currently installed, and the .32-20 cylinder is included. Both feature gold-filled rollmarks, a hallmark of this Buckeye Special configuration. Each cylinder holds six rounds.
The revolver uses Ruger’s New Model single-action mechanism with a transfer bar. Construction is all carbon steel with a polished blued finish. It has a 6.5 inch barrel with an ejector rod housing and a crescent-profile ejector button for positive extraction.
Sights are practical and fully adjustable: a serrated ramp front blade paired with an adjustable square-notch rear. Smooth hardwood stocks with silver Ruger phoenix medallions round out the package, complementing the engraved Buckeye motif on the topstrap.
