    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 255 .22 WMR lever-action rifle
    • Removable inner magazine tube

The Model 255 sits within Winchester’s 200 Series of rimfire rifles, with production spanning roughly 1964–1970. This example carries the Winchester WP proof and a Made in U.S.A. stamp, underscoring its domestic manufacture and period-correct markings.

The 20.5 in barrel uses a 1:16 RH twist, and the bore is noted as excellent with clean, mirror finish and well-defined rifling. Sights are traditional open irons: a ramped front with a square post and an elevator-adjustable rear that is also windage-adjustable.

Its lever-action system uses an internal hammer with right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety. The factory tubular magazine includes a removable inner tube and holds 11 rounds of .22 WMR. The length of pull is 13.5 in, with an overall length of about 39 in and a weight of about 5 lb.

The receiver top is factory grooved for 3/8-inch tip-off rimfire scope mounts, and the factory engine-turned bolt is a distinctive feature of this model. The finish is black, with a matching black receiver finish.

Stock furniture includes a pistol-grip hardwood stock with press checkering, a hard rubber buttplate, and a white-line buttplate spacer, paired with a press-checkered hardwood forend to complete the period Winchester look and handling.
