Built by HS Produkt and marked "S.I. GENESEO IL, MADE IN CROATIA," this XD-E reflects the Croatian manufacture specified for Springfield Armory. The slide, barrel hood, and frame carry matching serial markings, with the barrel hood additionally marked "CAL 9x19." The model was discontinued around 2021, adding appeal for buyers who value out-of-production variants in excellent condition.
The compact XD-E format pairs a recoil-operated, DA/SA action with an external spurred hammer. An ambidextrous thumb safety/decocker and an ambidextrous magazine release support left- or right-handed operation. A loaded-chamber indicator and a witness port on the barrel hood provide straightforward status checks.
The 3.3-inch steel barrel is hammer-forged and Melonite-treated, and the pistol wears a durable black Melonite finish over a black polymer frame.
