This Aero Precision M5 Special Edition Freedom5 is a limited-production AR-10 pistol built around a large-frame receiver set and a custom 12-inch 8.6 Blackout direct-impingement upper. It features the Freedom-series lower with an American flag engraved on the magwell, a July-4-themed serial number prefix, and a two-tone bronze-and-black finish. Purposeful upgrades include an ATLAS R-ONE M-LOK free-float handguard, slick-side upper with shell deflector, ambidextrous safety, extended bolt catch, and an SB Tactical adjustable arm brace.

The Special Edition Freedom5 treatment centers on the lower receiver, which carries the model designation FREEDOM5 and a factory American flag engraving on the left magwell. The serial number range uses a July-4-themed "JULY4" prefix, aligning with the Freedom series identity. The receiver rollmarks and Aero "A" branding are consistent with Aero Precision’s production from Lakewood, Washington.
Chambered in 8.6 Blackout, this pistol uses a 12-inch direct-impingement upper with a cylindrical multi-port muzzle brake/compensator. The slick-side upper deletes the forward assist while retaining a shell deflector, and the barrel is threaded. It feeds from SR-25/DPMS pattern magazines and carries a 20+1 capacity with the included magazine.
The aluminum ATLAS R-ONE M-LOK free-float handguard provides rigidity and accessory mounting with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. A continuous top Picatinny rail with white T-mark numbers (T2–T18) runs from the receiver onto the handguard. Tan M-LOK rail cover panels are installed for added purchase and heat management.
Control upgrades include an ambidextrous safety selector and an extended bolt catch/bolt release lever. The B5 Systems pistol grip (tan) and SB Tactical adjustable arm brace with a QD sling socket round out the ergonomics, delivering a modern, practical setup for large-frame AR pistols.
The two-tone finish pairs a bronze upper/rail with a black lower/handguard for a distinctive look. The M5 platform follows the DPMS High Profile standard with a large-frame SR-25/AR-308 pattern magwell and an enlarged ejection port. The receiver set is 7075-T6 aluminum and made in the United States.
