The PDP Compact platform uses a short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a striker-fired action in 9mm Luger. This configuration provides a 4-inch non-threaded barrel and a 15+1 capacity in a compact-size frame.
Custom enhancements include a flared magazine well funnel and a flat-faced skeletonized trigger shoe, both installed. These parts reflect the pistol's tailored setup and are matched to the PDP series format.
The slide features SuperTerrain raised slide serrations for confident purchase, plus an optics cut with a cover plate. Sights are a 3-dot set with a dovetailed white dot front and a two-dot rear mounted on the optics cover plate. The slide is finished in black and paired with a black polymer frame.
Controls and interface details include ambidextrous slide stop levers and a 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover. The trigger safety is standard, and the frame has "COMPACT" molded into the grip module.
Origin and markings are clearly present: "CARL WALTHER ULM/DO," "WALTHER ARMS FORT SMITH, AR," and "MADE IN GERMANY."
