The Ruger .44 Carbine (Model 44) pairs .44 Remington Magnum performance with a semi-automatic, gas-operated short-stroke piston system and rotating bolt. This configuration delivers reliable cycling with the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge.
It retains the model’s standard 18.5-inch barrel and a fixed 4-round tubular magazine loaded through a bottom port. The solid-top receiver is equipped with a side-mounted scope base on the left receiver wall, as found on many examples of this model.
The one-piece walnut carbine stock has a barrel band fore-end and a metal carbine-style buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.25 inches, and a cross-bolt safety provides straightforward operation.
Iron sights include a ramped gold-bead front and a folding rear leaf. The rifle is finished in blued steel and is made in the USA. It comes topped with a Bushnell Banner II 1.5-4x scope set in Weaver USA rings on the installed side mount.
