This model runs a semi-automatic, single-action system with a beavertail grip safety and a left-side thumb safety, plus the Series II Swartz firing-pin safety. It includes a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum trigger and a Commander-style skeletonized hammer. A factory full-length guide rod, flat mainspring housing, and smooth front strap round out the traditional 1911 geometry on a non-railed frame.
Sighting is handled by fixed, low-profile 3-dot sights set in dovetails, with a 6.8 inch sight radius for a clear sight picture.
