The PM9 is part of Kahr's PM Series and is built for a compact footprint without sacrificing core features. It measures about 5.3 inches in overall length and about 4.0 inches in height, with a slim single-stack design and a maximum capacity of 7+1. The slide is stainless steel with a blackened matte finish and rear vertical serrations for positive manipulation.
Its striker-fired, double-action-only system uses Kahr's cocking cam mechanism and a smooth curved trigger. A passive striker block is integrated, and there is no external manual safety. Controls are set up on the left side, including the slide stop/takedown lever and the magazine release.
The 3.1 inch barrel uses polygonal rifling. Sights are the white bar-dot combat style, with a white-dot front blade and a white bar-dot rear notch for a clean, high-contrast sight picture.
