The M12AK-T1 uses a gas-operated action with a 4-position adjustable regulator at the gas block, allowing the user to tune the system. It feeds from detachable box magazines and is built on an AK-pattern stamped-steel receiver with a ribbed top cover.
The 18.7 inch steel barrel is chrome-lined and Rem-Choke compatible, and the chamber accepts both 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. Capacity is 10+1 with the included 10-round magazine. Overall length is 39.29 inches.
Controls follow the AK layout, including a right-side charging handle, a paddle-style magazine release, and a right-side safety/selector lever. The fixed black synthetic stock provides a 14.0 inch length of pull and includes a rear sling loop, paired with a polymer pistol grip.
