The Javelina Hunting Model pairs a 7-inch longslide with 10mm Auto for a purpose-driven 1911 configuration. It uses the single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech system and includes a left-side manual thumb safety, a grip safety, and a spurred, checkered hammer. Capacity is 7+1 (per consignor).
All-stainless construction and finish details include brushed flats with matte/bead-blasted rounds. The slide has rear cocking serrations, and the fixed iron sights consist of a serrated ramp front and a fixed square-notch rear. These iron sights remain present with the mounted optic base and sight.
Optics are addressed with an installed Oakshore Electronic Sights Inc. Micro Dot mounted on a slide base with Weaver rings. This setup provides a red dot aiming solution while retaining the factory fixed sights.
Factory markings include the IAI logo and "JAVELINA / 10 MM AUTOMATIC" on the slide and "IRWINDALE, CA." on the frame. Production is associated with the short post-AMT transition period and was marketed for hunting and field use.
Custom elements on this example include a wrap-around finger-groove grip sleeve and mismatched grip panels (left multi-color diamond-textured; right black synthetic with vertical ribs), in addition to the aftermarket optic system.
