The P250 Compact uses a removable, serialized stainless-steel fire control unit (FCU), allowing the grip module to be swapped while keeping the same serialized core. The included grip module is a textured polymer unit molded with SIG SAUER logos and marked "COMPACT MEDIUM" for size.
The hammer-fired, double-action-only system provides a long, consistent trigger pull, aided by a contoured trigger shoe. Controls include a triangular magazine release and a bobbed external hammer for snag-resistant carry.
The slide wears a durable Nitron finish and features rear cocking serrations and a right-side ejection port. The 3.9-inch barrel includes a visual chamber witness port, and the hood is marked "9mm x 19."
Sighting is via 3-dot night sights that are dovetailed front and rear; the rear sight base is marked "MH3 AO," indicating tritium illumination. A 4-slot Picatinny/M1913 accessory rail supports common weapon lights and lasers.
