This Spirit of America Edition showcases factory engraving with gold and silver accented artwork. The right slide features Mount Rushmore framed by the U.S. flag, while the left slide presents a bald eagle over mountains with stars. The artwork is cut into a matte stainless slide that carries clean rear serrations for a classic Series 70 profile.
Colt complements the engraving with factory 24-karat gold-plated small parts, including the barrel bushing, slide stop, magazine catch, thumb safety, hammer, and grip screws. The contrast between the matte stainless frame/slide and gold-accented controls gives the pistol a distinctive, cohesive presentation.
Built on the full-size Government Model platform, this Series 70 pistol is chambered in .45 ACP and uses a 5 inch National Match barrel. It retains the traditional single-action operation with a long, solid trigger and a Commander-style (rowel) hammer. Fixed black sights—blade front and notch rear—provide a straightforward sight picture.
Functional details remain true to the platform: thumb safety and grip safety, a stainless steel frame and slide in a uniform matte stainless finish, and cherry wood grip panels with gold Colt medallions. The ERS serial-prefix marks it within the limited 1-of-500 run tied to the TALO collaboration.
