    Bersa Mod. 23 .22 LR Compact DA/SA Steel Pistol, 3.5 in Fixed Barrel, Argentina Import

    This Bersa Mod. 23 is a compact, all-steel .22 LR DA/SA blowback pistol from the late 1980s–1990s, manufactured in Ramos Mejía, Argentina. It features a 3.5 in fixed barrel, slide-mounted safety/decocker, and walnut grip panels with BERSA medallions. An import stamp from C.M.I. Miami, FL 33129 is present.

    Notably, it precedes the Bersa Thunder 22 and is reported to be compatible with Thunder 22 10-round magazines.

    The Mod. 23 uses a DA/SA, hammer-fired blowback system with an exposed spur hammer. Controls include a left-side push-button magazine release and a right-side takedown lever. The slide-mounted safety/decocker features a red dot indicator, and the ejection port is on the right.

    Its 3.5 in fixed barrel contributes to consistent barrel alignment, while the slide’s serrated top rib helps reduce glare. The slide has rear-only serrations for charging. Iron sights include a fixed blade front sight with a small bead and a windage-adjustable rear sight.

    Construction is all steel for both frame and slide, paired with two-piece walnut grip panels bearing BERSA medallions. This compact-format pistol was produced in Ramos Mejía, Argentina, and falls within the late 1980s–1990s era.
