This Romanian-made Romarm/Cugir SSG97 PSL-54 is a 7.62x54R semi-automatic rifle built on a stamped-steel AK/RPK-pattern receiver. It features a long 24.5" heavy-profile barrel with a multi-port cylindrical muzzle brake, laminated thumbhole furniture with an integral cheek riser, and a left-side Soviet-pattern optics side rail. The rifle retains AK-type iron sights and a ribbed extended top cover, combining classic configuration with rugged construction.

Built on a stamped-steel AK/RPK-pattern receiver, this SSG97 PSL-54 uses a long-stroke gas piston system with a right-side safety/selector. The ribbed extended top cover and robust receiver design reflect the rifle’s intended durability and service-style layout.
The 24.5" heavy-profile barrel is threaded and fitted with a multi-port cylindrical muzzle brake. Ventilation on the gas tube cover and lower handguard supports heat management during sustained fire.
Laminated wood furniture includes a thumbhole buttstock with an integral cheek riser, a ribbed buttpad, and a rear sling loop. The two-piece laminated wood handguard features ventilation slots for added airflow.
Sighting is via a protected front sight tower and an AK-type tangent rear sight. A left-side Soviet-pattern optics side rail is installed on the receiver for mounting compatible side-rail optics as desired.
Receiver markings include "SSG97" with "cal 7.62x54R," and the rifle bears "R-8502-07 RO" proof/import markings. The configuration follows the detachable box magazine pattern; however, the magazine is not included with this sale.
