The Back Up Large-Frame DAO combines micro size with large-caliber performance. This example is chambered in .400 Cor-Bon and configured to the large-frame spec with a 3-inch barrel and 5+1 capacity. It carries the Irwindale, California roll mark and Made in USA markings.
The stainless-steel slide and frame wear a matte stainless finish and include functional details such as rear slide serrations, lightening holes near the muzzle, and a recessed crown. The integral trench sight provides a snag-resistant aiming channel with no separate front or rear sight blades.
This model is double-action only and recoil-operated. It omits a manual safety lever and slide stop, and it uses a circular takedown button on the right side. The left slide is marked STAINLESS and MADE IN USA with the factory warning "CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED!"
Notably, this package includes an AMT .45 ACP top end (slide and barrel assembly), adding useful caliber flexibility while keeping the pistol in its compact, stainless footprint. The frame is additionally stamped "PHIL-GRAY."
