Built on the proven FAL pattern, the SA58 uses a short-stroke gas piston system and an adjustable gas regulator with clear index markings on the gas block. It is chambered for 7.62mm NATO (7.62x51), and accepts metric FAL-pattern detachable box magazines.
The 16-inch barrel is fluted and threaded, capped with a three-prong flash hider. This configuration keeps the rifle compact while maintaining 7.62 NATO performance, and the fluting adds practical weight savings.
Controls and furniture are set up for practical use. It has a right-side charging handle, a manual safety with a selector marked S/R, and a black polymer pistol grip with horizontal grooves. The stock is a Magpul CTR AR-pattern collapsible unit that is adjustable, paired with a polymer handguard featuring cooling slots.
For aiming and mounting, the rifle includes iron sights with a protected post front and a low-profile aperture rear. The receiver and components wear a matte black finish, and a screw-retained, full-length T-marked Picatinny top cover is installed. Overall, it is a modernized configuration that stays true to the FAL platform.
