This Sub-Compact variant uses a short-recoil, locked-breech tilting barrel system rather than the rotating-barrel system found on larger Px4 models. The 3-inch stainless steel barrel pairs with a steel slide finished in Bruniton for durability and a consistent, low-glare appearance. Front and rear slide serrations aid in confident manipulation.
The Type F configuration provides double-action/single-action operation with an ambidextrous slide-mounted manual safety/decocker. A bobbed hammer keeps the profile streamlined while maintaining DA/SA function. Fixed 3-dot sights combine a white-dot front with a low-profile square-notch rear for a clear, simple sight picture.
The fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame features aggressive texturing with molded Beretta trident medallions for a secure, consistent grip. Interchangeable backstraps help tailor the grip to the shooter. A single-slot accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover.
Chambered in .40 S&W, the standard capacity is 10+1. This model accepts higher-capacity Px4 magazines with sleeves. Beretta’s SnapGrip finger-rest magazine baseplate feature enhances control without adding length when stowed.
This example is U.S.-made with Accokeek, MD markings and carries Beretta’s factory part number JXS4F20.
