The P238 Nitron with Rosewood Grips is a factory variant designated SKU 238-380-RG. It features a stainless steel slide with a Nitron matte black finish over a matte black hard-coat anodized aluminum-alloy frame. Controls follow a micro-1911 pattern with an exposed hammer, single-action-only trigger, a left-side manual thumb safety, and a beavertail-style tang.
SIGLITE 3-dot night sights are dovetailed front and rear for durability and serviceability. The slide wears rear serrations for purchase. The barrel measures 2.7 inches, keeping the overall package compact while retaining locked-breech, short-recoil operation for the .380 ACP chambering.
This pistol includes one flush 6-round magazine and three extended 7-round magazines. The steel, single-stack magazines include both flush and finger-rest baseplates as noted. Capacity with standard magazines is 6+1; with extended magazines it is 7+1.
Finish and markings are consistent with U.S. production. The frame is marked "SIG SAUER INC. EXETER-NH-USA." A matching factory case label is present and dated 31-AUG-2011. The 27A-prefix serial is outside the 2009 P238 safety-upgrade range.
