This traditional single-shot .50-caliber muzzleloader uses flintlock ignition and a classic sidelock layout. The rifle is a Thompson/Center factory reproduction, made in the United States, with the correct right-hand walnut half-stock, left-side cheekpiece, and a single barrel wedge with oval escutcheon. Length of pull is 14.25 inches.
The 28 inch octagonal barrel is blued and fitted with open iron sights: an adjustable rear sight and a dovetailed front blade. A 1:48 twist rate supports the rifle’s .50 caliber rifling, and the barrel bears the correct Thompson/Center Rochester, New Hampshire marking.
Double-set triggers provide a precise, crisp release, paired with a flintlock mechanism that is factory engraved. The lockplate and hammer carry decorative engraving motifs that add period-correct detail without compromising function.
Brass furniture completes the Hawken pattern: crescent buttplate, right-side round-lid patchbox, nose cap, two ramrod thimbles, and an S-shaped trigger guard. The installed wooden ramrod with brass tip is on-board, with small tools and a spare flint stored in the patchbox for convenience.
