This J Stevens A&T Co Favorite Model 1894 is an early 20th-century takedown single-shot rifle chambered in the obsolete .25 Stevens rimfire. It features a full-length 24" octagon steel barrel stamped '25 - STEVENS', a lever-actuated falling-block action with an external hammer, and open sights with a stepped elevator. U.S.-made and likely produced between 1900 and 1915, it showcases the classic Favorite series configuration with walnut furniture and a steel buttplate.

Bore Rifling: Fair Rifling - Worn rifling, slight loss of definition.

Specific Condition Notes: There is widespread rust and pitting across the metal surfaces. The release lever is loose with a small amount of play, though the action remains functional. The stock is loose and has a large crack.

    What’s Included

    • J Stevens A&T Co Favorite Model 1894 single-shot rifle chambered in .25 Stevens

The rifle uses a single-shot, lever-actuated falling-block mechanism with an external hammer and the series' distinct S-curved operating lever. Capacity is 1 round, with a takedown system secured by a wire-loop screw at the bottom of the receiver.

The 24" full-length octagon steel barrel is stamped '25 - STEVENS'. Sighting is via a dovetailed front blade/bead and an open rear leaf with a stepped elevator, giving a traditional sight picture appropriate to the period.

Furniture consists of a straight-grip walnut buttstock and a slender, uncheckered walnut forend, capped with a steel buttplate. The length of pull measures 12.5.

Made in the USA and likely produced circa 1900-1915, this Favorite series example is chambered for the now-obsolete .25 Stevens rimfire. It pairs a steel receiver and barrel with classic Stevens design touches from the era.
