ROF Fazakerley Lee–Enfield No.4 Mk 2 .303 British Bolt-Action Rifle, 25 inch Barrel, 1950 Production
This ROF Fazakerley No.4 Mk 2 is a postwar 1950 production Lee–Enfield in .303 British with the Mk 2 improvement of a receiver-hung, two-stage trigger. It retains the classic No.4 features with a standard 25 inch barrel, a 10-round detachable magazine, and a micrometer-adjustable aperture rear ladder sight. The receiver is electro-penciled with the factory and model markings, and the PF-prefix serial indicates Fazakerley’s postwar run.

What’s Included
- ROF Fazakerley No.4 Mk 2 .303 British bolt-action rifle
- One 10-round detachable magazine numbered to the rifle
Built at ROF Fazakerley and dated 3/50 on the receiver, this No.4 Mk 2 represents the postwar refinement of the Lee–Enfield design. The receiver-left electro-pencil marking reads "No4 Mk2 (F)" with the date and PF-prefix serial, aligning with British production after WWII.
The Mk 2 configuration features a two-stage trigger hung from the receiver, a change from earlier trigger-in-guard arrangements. This design was adopted to provide a more consistent trigger interface independent of stock tension.
Sighting equipment includes a micrometer-adjustable aperture rear ladder preferred over wartime flip types, paired with a protected front post. The rifle retains No.4-pattern front sight protector ears, a charger bridge for stripper loading, and the standard bayonet boss/lug.
Furniture is full-length hardwood with two-piece upper handguards, sling swivels, a front stacking swivel, and a brass buttplate with trap. The rifle has a 25 inch barrel, round bolt knob, steel receiver, and a length of pull measuring 12.1 inches. Matching serials are noted on the fore-end wood and magazine body.
