The LWRC SMG-45 pairs proven .45 ACP power with a compact, feature-rich design built around LWRC’s short-recoil, delayed-blowback system. Constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in matte black hard-coat anodizing, this full-size pistol offers fully ambidextrous controls, a side-folding SB Tactical brace, and a non-reciprocating, reversible charging handle for true left- or right-hand adaptability. An 8.5-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel, threaded .578-28 RH, gives the platform suppressor compatibility right out of the box.

LWRC designed the SMG-45 around a robust short-recoil, delayed-blowback action that softens recoil and keeps the bolt locked until pressure drops, improving reliability with high-pressure .45 ACP loads. The system is tuned for smooth operation with standard-pressure ammunition as well.
The 8.5-inch chromoly steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged for durability and uniformity, then threaded .578-28 RH to accept common .45 suppressors or muzzle devices. A 1:16 right-hand twist stabilizes a broad range of bullet weights, from subsonic to +P.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the selector, magazine release, and bolt catch, allowing rapid manipulation from either shoulder. The side-charging handle folds flat when not in use, can be reversed without tools, and remains non-reciprocating during firing for shooter safety.
The SB Tactical SBT5A brace folds to the right, trimming overall length to roughly 15.3 inches for transport or storage while maintaining immediate deployment capability. LWRC’s Ultra Combat pistol grip and proprietary short octagonal M-LOK handguard provide a comfortable, secure interface and flexible accessory mounting.
Flip-up LWRC/Magpul MBUS Pro-style iron sights ride on the integral Picatinny top rail, giving the shooter reliable back-up aiming solutions straight from the factory.
