    What's Included

    • High Standard Sentinel Imperial R-104 revolver

This R-104 variant offers a nine-shot swing-out cylinder with long, shallow flutes and a knurled ejector-rod head. The cylinder is unlatched by pulling the ejector-rod head forward, a hallmark feature of this model. It runs in double-action or single-action with an exposed hammer and a smooth-faced trigger.

The revolver combines an aluminum-alloy frame with a steel barrel and cylinder. The barrel and cylinder wear a polished blue finish, complemented by a darker black/blue frame. The 4" barrel sets up a well-balanced, full-size profile.

Sighting is straightforward and practical with a ramped front sight and a square-notch rear set into the topstrap. The topstrap rib is longitudinally serrated. Two-piece checkered walnut grips with High Standard medallions and a square-butt frame complete the classic configuration.

Markings include "HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP." and ".22 CAL. L.R." with a Hartford, Conn. legend on the right side of the barrel, and "SENTINEL IMPERIAL" on the left. The right side of the frame is stamped "R-104" over the serial number.

Production for the Sentinel Imperial R-104 occurred circa 1962–1964 in the United States.
