This is a Belgian-made, first-generation BAR High-Power with the serial suffix 'M69' denoting 1969 manufacture. The barrel is marked 'PATENT PENDING,' and the barrel also carries a Belgian proof mark near the receiver ring along with a 'Made in Belgium' marking. It is a collectible Grade II configuration within the High-Power series.
The rifle is chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag. and uses a semi-automatic, gas-operated piston system with a rotating bolt. It has a 24-inch steel barrel and a 4-round detachable box magazine that is retained within a hinged floorplate, providing the classic BAR profile and operation.
The receiver is steel with a polished blued finish and factory engraving. The engraving consists of light scrollwork with big-game head busts on both sides of the receiver, consistent with Grade II presentation and factory execution.
The walnut stock features a straight comb, a pistol grip, and cut checkering, paired with a 13.75-inch length of pull. Sighting equipment includes iron sights with a hooded front ramp and bead, and a folding rear leaf mounted on the barrel. Controls include a right-side charging handle with a round grooved knob.
