What’s Included
- Winchester Model 94 Ranger .30-30 lever-action rifle
The Ranger series pairs the Model 94 action with a no-nonsense hardwood stock and carbine configuration. This example is chambered in .30-30 Winchester with a 6-round full-length tubular magazine and two barrel bands, true to the carbine pattern. Factory markings include WINCHESTER RANGER 30-30 WIN, Made in New Haven, Conn. U.S.A., and Winchester Proof Steel, with the Winchester WP proof present.
Furniture consists of a straight-grip, uncheckered hardwood stock and matching hardwood fore-end with a satin-type finish. The metal buttplate is checkered and fitted with a Winchester logo medallion. Length of pull is approximately 13.5 inches, balancing well with the 20-inch barrel for a compact, traditional handling profile.
Sighting is provided by a ramped post front (hoodless) and a semi-buckhorn leaf rear with elevator. The receiver top is drilled and tapped for scope bases. It retains the open-top receiver design with no cross-bolt or tang safety, consistent with the period.
