The Shield M2.0 format delivers a micro-size 9mm with a striker-fired, locked-breech, tilting-barrel action and the M2.0 improved trigger. The hinged safety trigger provides a clear, tactile and audible reset for confident shot-to-shot control.
The slide and barrel are stainless steel with a durable Armornite black finish. The polymer frame is finished in black and sized for concealment. The platform omits an accessory/light rail for a streamlined profile.
Controls and features include scalloped front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a visual loaded-chamber viewport. This model has no external manual thumb safety. The frame carries a caution marking indicating the pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
Disassembly is aided by S&W’s sear deactivation system, allowing takedown without pulling the trigger. The M2.0 aggressive stipple texture provides a stable grip in a compact footprint.
Sight alignment is straightforward with low-profile 3-dot sights: a white-dot front and two-dot rear. Capacity options are 7+1 with the flush magazine or 8+1 with the included extended magazine.
