The Predator configuration centers around a 20-inch heavy-profile barrel that is fluted, free-floated, and finished with a recessed target crown. The muzzle is non-threaded. The knurled, vented aluminum free-float tube includes a front stud, with a bipod already installed.
Its A3 flat-top receiver provides a continuous rail and includes a forward assist, ejection-port dust cover, and case deflector. A low-profile gas block is used in place of a fixed front sight tower, and there is no bayonet lug. The action is semi-automatic with a direct impingement gas system and a manual safety.
Furniture includes a fixed A2-style stock with a trap-door buttplate and rear sling loop, plus a Hogue overmolded rubber pistol grip for secure handling. There are no factory sights installed. Detachable Picatinny riser blocks are mounted to the receiver rail.
Chambered in 5.56mm NATO, this rifle accepts detachable STANAG-pattern magazines. One 30-round Magpul PMAG Gen M2 is included, and the rifle offers a 30+1 capacity.
Receiver markings feature the Bushmaster snake logo and XM15-E2S model designation, with a Windham, Maine rollmark. This example falls within the 1994–2006 era of production.
