The Blued Python series combines traditional Colt aesthetics with modern production. Its forged carbon-steel frame, barrel, and receiver wear a polished blued finish, while the top rib is matte to complement the vented rib and full underlug profile.
Sight regulation is straightforward thanks to a fully adjustable rear sight and a user-interchangeable orange-ramp front sight that is screw-retained at the muzzle. The serrated trigger supports smooth double-action and crisp single-action operation.
The six-shot fluted cylinder features a knurled ejector rod head. The barrel uses 1:14 in. left-hand, six-groove rifling, and the revolver accepts .38 Special ammunition in addition to .357 Magnum.
Factory markings include a 2D data-matrix ahead of the trigger guard and the Rampant Colt logo on the frame. This blued variant was introduced at SHOT Show 2024 and reflects current 2024–2025 production.
