The Delta Elite is built on the 1911 platform in a Government-size 5-inch configuration, delivering classic single-action operation in 10mm. This stainless model features the DS serial prefix associated with stainless Delta Elite pistols. It reflects the model lineage introduced in 1987 as the first 10mm offering from a major U.S. manufacturer.
The pistol uses a Browning tilting-barrel, locked-breech system with a barrel bushing and short guide rod. A flat, vertically serrated mainspring housing complements the traditional 1911 geometry for consistent control. The stainless steel frame and slide provide durable construction and a uniform stainless finish.
Controls and safeties include a left-side manual thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, and the Series 80 firing-pin safety. The fire-control setup features a long, 3-hole aluminum trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer for a crisp single-action release.
Slide details include rear-only straight cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port to aid reliable extraction. Sights are fixed three-dot: a dovetailed front blade with a white dot and a drift-adjustable rear with two white dots and a set screw.
