This revolver features Smith & Wesson’s hybrid construction: an aluminum-alloy upper frame mated to a polymer lower housing. The combination keeps weight down while maintaining strength where it matters.
The DAO, shrouded-hammer design eliminates external protrusions, reducing the chance of snagging on clothing during the draw. Its smooth trigger and enclosed action make it ideal for pocket or ankle carry.
A unique ambidextrous top-strap slider serves as the cylinder release, allowing right- or left-handed shooters to operate the revolver without shifting grip. The stainless, PVD-coated cylinder holds five rounds of .38 Special +P and is fluted to trim weight.
This “No Laser” gray-grip variant (SKU 103039) is produced in smaller numbers than the standard red-grip laser model, offering collectors and shooters a clean-sided option with the same M&P Bodyguard branding introduced after 2014.
