This Victor variant is built around a 16" cold-hammer-forged CMV barrel that is Melonite-nitrided inside and out for extended service life. The 1:8" twist stabilizes the full range of 5.56mm projectile weights, and standard 1/2-28 threads accept the included Springfield two-port muzzle brake for reduced muzzle rise.
The rifle’s 15" free-float aluminum handguard locks to the upper with Springfield’s patented triple-lock interface, giving a stable platform for accessories along its full-length rail sections. A mid-length gas system and heavy tungsten “H” buffer smooth out recoil impulse while maintaining reliability.
B5 Systems furniture equips the rifle with a six-position collapsible stock featuring integrated QD sockets and a rubber butt-pad, plus the Type 23 P-Grip for a consistent firing hold. Fully ambidextrous QD sling points on the receiver make sling changes straightforward.
Internally, the nickel-boron-coated flat-face trigger breaks at roughly 6 lb for a clean, repeatable pull. An enhanced 9310 steel bolt (HPT/MPI) and Springfield’s Accu-Tite receiver tensioning device round out a package designed for dependable performance and tight receiver fit.
