The SIG716 G2 Patrol is a 7.62 NATO AR-10 pattern rifle built around a short-stroke gas piston system with an adjustable regulator. This G2 variant features a factory Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish, a 16-inch stainless steel barrel threaded 5/8x24, and a free-float aluminum KeyMod handguard with a continuous T-marked MIL-STD-1913 top rail. It ships with folding iron sights and two 20-round Magpul PMAG LR/SR Gen M3 magazines.

The SIG716 G2 Patrol uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston operating system with an adjustable gas regulator. This setup supports reliable function across a range of 7.62x51 ammunition while allowing the user to tune the system to conditions and preferences. It accepts SR-25/AR-10 pattern magazines and carries a stated 20+1 capacity.
Its 16-inch stainless steel barrel is threaded 5/8x24 for compatible muzzle devices and features a 1:10 twist. The free-float design works with the aluminum KeyMod handguard to keep accessories off the barrel and preserve barrel clearance. A continuous T-marked MIL-STD-1913 top rail runs from receiver through the handguard.
The rifle is finished in factory Flat Dark Earth Cerakote on the receivers and handguard. It includes folding front and rear iron sights, a forward assist, and an ejection-port dust cover. A QD-type sling endplate socket is fitted at the rear.
Ergonomics include a 6-position telescoping polymer stock with a rubber buttpad and an FDE polymer pistol grip with texturing. Controls include an ambidextrous safety and a right-side magazine release. Overall length is approximately 34.75–38 inches (collapsed/extended), and unloaded weight is approximately 9.5 pounds.
