The DB9R is built on Diamondback’s patented dedicated 9 mm lower receiver (US 11,085,715 B2). By eliminating mag-well adapters, the gun maintains proper feed-angle geometry and reliable lock-back with common double-stack Glock magazines.
Its 16-inch, 4150 CrMoV steel barrel is medium profile, black-nitride treated inside and out, and factory-threaded 5/8x24 — an uncommon thread pitch for 9 mm PCCs that pairs easily with popular .30-caliber muzzle devices and suppressors.
A full-length Type III hard-coat anodized 7075-T6 upper and lower keep weight to roughly 6.7 pounds, while the 15-inch 6061-T6 free-float M-LOK handguard offers generous accessory space and a continuous Picatinny top rail for optics.
The straight-blowback action is simple, robust, and tuned for 9 mm pressures. Combined with a 1:10 RH twist, it delivers consistent performance with both supersonic and subsonic loads.
An adjustable six-position stock, Magpul MOE pistol grip, and standard AR-15 controls—including a manual selector safety—provide familiar ergonomics and rapid, intuitive handling.
