The M12AK operates on a long-stroke gas piston system, mirroring the proven mechanics of the AK family while adapting it for 12 gauge shells. A four-position gas plug lets the shooter fine-tune cycling for 2 ¾" or 3" loads, from light target rounds to powerful buckshot.
The 18.7" steel barrel is chrome-lined for corrosion resistance and easy maintenance, and it uses Rem-Choke compatible tubes for pattern flexibility. Threads at the muzzle allow additional accessories when desired.
Built on a steel AKM-pattern receiver finished in matte black oxide/phosphate, the shotgun accepts most standard AK furniture. The factory setup includes a fixed black polymer buttstock, ribbed polymer lower handguard, and an AK-style pistol grip for familiar handling.
A full-length Picatinny rail runs along the dust cover, providing ample space for red dots or other optics, while side and bottom accessory rails on the handguard accommodate lights or foregrips. Magazine compatibility extends to factory 5- and 10-round boxes as well as many aftermarket drums.
