The LWRC M6A2 pairs a proprietary self-regulating short-stroke piston system with a cold-hammer-forged NiCorr-treated barrel to deliver cleaner operation and long service life. This full-size AR-15 platform rifle was produced during LWRC’s first generation of commercial piston carbines and comes upgraded with a multi-port muzzle brake for flatter shooting. A free-float quad rail, six-position stock, and folding LWRCI iron sights round out a package designed for reliable performance and easy accessorizing.

At the heart of the M6A2 is LWRC’s self-regulating piston system, designed to reduce carbon fouling in the action and keep the bolt carrier cooler and cleaner than traditional gas-impingement designs. The one-piece bolt carrier is nickel-boron coated for added lubricity and corrosion resistance, supporting reliable cycling in demanding conditions.
The 16.1-inch medium-profile barrel is forged from 41V45 steel, then NiCorr treated inside and out for exceptional hardness and wear resistance. A 1:7 twist rate stabilizes the full range of 5.56mm projectiles, while the threaded muzzle wears an aftermarket multi-port brake that helps tame recoil and muzzle rise.
A 7075-T6 forged aluminum upper and lower receive a durable hard-coat anodized finish. The LWRCI Mark II-B free-float quad rail offers four full-length Picatinny rails for lights, lasers, and other accessories without affecting barrel harmonics. Folding LWRCI front and rear sights provide a precise iron-sight option and fold flat to clear the optic of your choice.
Shooters will appreciate the ergonomic furniture: a six-position collapsible stock adapts to different body sizes or gear, while the Hogue-style over-molded pistol grip delivers a comfortable, non-slip hold.
