It features a no manual thumb safety configuration with a hinged trigger safety, steel 3-dot sights, and a one-slot Picatinny-style rail. It comes well-equipped with three 12-round magazines, factory case, manual, three palmswell backstraps, and an uninstalled laser-integrated backstrap module.

The M&P9c is a compact member of the original M&P series, engineered with a stainless steel slide and barrel treated in a black Melonite/Armornite-type finish. Its internal stainless steel chassis and polymer frame deliver a durable, carry-friendly package in a proven platform.
This configuration does not include a manual thumb safety and uses a hinged trigger with an integrated safety. A reversible magazine release supports left- or right-handed use without additional parts.
Sighting is handled by low-profile, steel 3-dot white sights that are dovetailed front and rear. The slide features scalloped, rear-only serrations for a consistent grip during manipulation.
A one-slot Picatinny-style dustcover rail accepts compatible compact lights or accessories. Dimensions are compact and practical: 6.7 in overall length, 4.3 in height, 1.2 in width, and approximately 21.7 oz unloaded.
Capacity is 12+1 with the included compact, steel, double-stack magazines using finger-rest baseplates. Three interchangeable palmswell backstraps are included for fit tuning, along with an uninstalled laser-integrated backstrap module for optional use.
