The Remington Model 11 is America’s first domestically produced autoloading shotgun, and this example highlights the design’s defining features. Built on a steel receiver with right-side ejection, this long-recoil, semiautomatic Model 11 includes a round bolt handle and a carrier/bolt release button positioned forward of the trigger guard for straightforward operation. The knurled magazine cap supports quick disassembly for cleaning and transport.
The 26 inch barrel is plain with no rib and fitted with a Poly-Choke adjustable choke featuring indexed markings for on-the-spot pattern tuning. The barrel bears the Remington oval REP proof. This is a takedown configuration with an under-barrel tubular magazine rated at 2+1 capacity.
Walnut furniture includes an uncheckered pistol-grip stock with a straight comb and a smooth walnut fore-end. An aftermarket ventilated recoil pad with a white line spacer is installed, providing a 14.5 inch length of pull.
Produced from 1905 to 1947, the Model 11’s hump-back profile and long-recoil operation are hallmarks of this American-made autoloader. This example retains those signature attributes while adding an adjustable choke system for versatile pattern control.
