The Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW is a compact, premium AR-15 pattern pistol chambered in .300 AAC Blackout. It features a 7 in cold hammer forged, chrome-lined CMV barrel in an S2W heavy profile, a factory Daniel Defense Linear Compensator, and a free-float MFR XL 6.0 M-LOK handguard. Built on 7075-T6 hardcoat-anodized receivers with ambidextrous controls and an adjustable CQB pistol brace, this PDW pairs purpose-built handling with durable, proven components. Introduced at SHOT Show 2020 and made in the United States.

This PDW uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system with a pistol-length gas system and a low-profile gas block. The 7 in chrome-moly-vanadium steel barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome-lined, and threaded 5/8x24, capped with the Daniel Defense Linear Compensator made from 17-4 PH stainless and salt-bath nitride finished. The 1:7 in twist rate is set up for a wide range of .300 BLK loads.
The handguard is the Daniel Defense MFR XL 6.0, a free-float 6061-T6 aluminum design with M-LOK slots and a continuous T-marked top Picatinny rail. A low-profile handstop is installed for positive indexing, and the upper includes a forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection port cover.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a black Type III hardcoat anodized finish. Controls include an ambidextrous safety and the ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle with extended latches. A flared magazine well speeds reloads, and a rear QD sling point is integrated.
The brace is the Maxim Defense CQB pistol brace with an adjustable dual-rod layout and an enhanced buffer system. Overall length is approximately 20.75–24.75 in, and the listed weight is 5.7 lb. Receiver markings include model DDM4 PDW and caliber 300.
