The FN 509 NMS is a full-size 9mm Luger pistol with a 17+1 capacity and a no manual safety configuration. It is striker-fired and manufactured in the USA. The FDE polymer frame paired with a black slide gives it a distinctive, duty-ready look.
The 4.0 in stainless steel barrel is cold hammer-forged and finished with a recessed crown. A polished chamber and feed ramp support smooth feeding, and the 1:10 RH twist is tailored for common 9mm loads.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the slide stop and the magazine release. The frame includes interchangeable backstraps to adjust grip size. A MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail is integrated on the dustcover for mounting compatible accessories.
The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor. Fixed steel 3-dot sights with white dots provide a clear sight picture, and the sight radius measures 5.79 in. A loaded chamber indicator is included. Overall dimensions are 7.4 in in length, 5.56 in in height, and 1.35 in in width, with a weight of 26.9 oz.
