Built at Izhevsk and marked with the triangle-with-arrow factory stamp, this Saiga was imported by FIME Group in Las Vegas prior to July 16, 2014, when Russian Saiga imports ceased. It carries importer markings and an inspection stamp marked 13 in a circle, adding clear, verifiable provenance.
The rifle uses the AK-74 platform with a gas-operated, long-stroke piston and rotating bolt. It has a 16.3 in barrel paired with a 90-degree gas block and an AK-74-pattern multi-chamber brake that is detent-retained on the front sight base. A cleaning rod is present, and the stamped steel receiver includes the AK side optics dovetail rail.
US-marked polymer furniture includes a fixed stock in light tan with a left-side sling swivel, matching polymer handguards, and a polymer pistol grip. The fire control group has been moved to the standard AK position, and the length of pull measures 13.0 in.
Controls are familiar and straightforward, with a paddle-style magazine release and a manual safety selector lever. The iron sights consist of a protected front post with detent and a tangent rear sight graduated 1–10.
