The R1 Limited Single Stack series was introduced circa 2018 and is oriented toward competition features in a classic 1911 format. This full-size 9mm model offers a 10+1 capacity with a single-stack configuration and includes both 10-round and 7-round magazines for flexibility.
Construction is stainless steel throughout the slide, frame, and barrel, all finished in black PVD for a cohesive, durable look. The slide carries 'Remington' and '1911 R1' markings, the frame is rollmarked 'HUNTSVILLE, AL USA,' and the barrel hood is marked 'MATCH' over 'LIMITED' with '9MM' on the chamber.
Accuracy-focused components include a 5-inch match-grade, bushing-fitted barrel and a match-grade adjustable skeletonized three-hole trigger. The pistol runs a single-action, hammer-fired system with a skeletonized commander-style hammer, a left-side thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump.
An integrated flared single-stack magwell speeds reloads, while checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing enhances control. The textured gray/black G10-style grips with a diagonal and golfball pattern offer a firm, consistent hold.
Target-focused sights include a red fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable rear target sight. The slide features both front and rear cocking serrations. This model does not have an accessory rail.
