This Springfield Armory XD-45 Compact is an original XD-series (pre-Mod.2) pistol that pairs a 4-inch service-length slide and barrel with a compact-length grip. It features a bi-tone finish with a stainless slide over a black polymer frame and has fiber-optic 3-dot sights installed. Built by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Armory, it includes multiple passive safety features, an ambidextrous magazine release, and an accessory rail for mounting a light.

The XD-45 Compact configuration delivers a practical balance of shootability and concealability by combining the service-length 4-inch barrel with a compact grip frame. It is compatible with both compact and extended XD .45 ACP magazines, and ships here with a 10-round magazine for a 10+1 capacity.
The pistol uses a hammer-forged barrel with a 1:16 twist for durability. The stainless slide provides corrosion resistance and incorporates front and rear serrations for confident manipulation. An integral dust-cover accessory rail with a single cross-slot is built into the frame for mounting compatible lights.
Controls and safety features include a striker-fired action with a grip safety, trigger safety, firing pin block, a loaded chamber indicator, and a striker status indicator. The ambidextrous magazine release supports either hand without changing the setup.
Fiber-optic 3-dot sights are installed, with a red front and green rear for fast sight acquisition. Markings include left-side "XD-45 ACP" and right-side "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A." with the XD logo. Import and origin markings read "SPRINGFIELD INC., GENESEO, IL • MADE IN CROATIA." The slide, frame window, and barrel hood show matching serial numbers, and the factory case label matches the pistol.
