The M&P 5.7's TEMPO operating system uses a gas-operated, locked-breech rotating barrel to manage the 5.7x28mm cartridge while maintaining a consistent, single-action trigger feel. The internal hammer-fired design and flat-faced trigger provide a straightforward control layout without a thumb safety on this NTS configuration.
The 5 in steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 with a 1:9 twist, giving the buyer easy compatibility with common 5.7 muzzle devices. Capacity is 22+1, and this pistol ships with five factory steel magazines, offering ample ready-to-go capacity.
The stainless-steel slide wears an Armornite finish and is cut for optics with a cover plate installed. Lightening windows and top serrations aid in manipulation, while the iron sights consist of a steel white-dot front and a white 2-dot, screw-adjustable rear.
Controls are practical and adaptable: an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release suit right- or left-handed shooters. The polymer frame includes M2.0-style textured grip panels and an integrated accessory rail for mounting equipment.
