The Pro Carry II uses Kimber’s 4-inch Pro-format system with a steel slide over an aluminum alloy frame for an approximate empty weight of 28 oz. Chambered in .45 ACP, it holds 7+1 rounds and measures about 7.7 inches in overall length and 5.25 inches in height.
This is a single-action-only 1911 with Series II safety architecture, employing a Swartz-type firing pin block actuated by the grip safety. It includes a single-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump for consistent disengagement. The fire control setup features a skeletonized, three-hole lightweight trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer.
The slide configuration is purpose-built with rear cocking serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, and the Series II plunger aperture ahead of the rear sight. Sights are fixed and low-profile, pairing a ramped front blade with a plain rear notch for a clean sight picture. The Pro-series full-length guide rod recoil system completes the top-end setup.
Grip and handling elements include a checkered mainspring housing with a smooth front strap. The installed Crimson Trace textured polymer grip panels provide a secure hold, and a spare set of checkered panels is included.
