Made in West Germany and marked "Made in W. Germany," this P226 features the desirable West German configuration: a stamped/folded carbon-steel slide with a pinned breech block and no external extractor, along with visible roll pin construction. The frame carries a German proof mark, and the barrel hood is marked "9 mm Para."
The classic SIG control layout is present with the takedown lever, decocking lever, and slide catch in their familiar positions. It uses a DA/SA, recoil-operated, locked-breech system with a push-button magazine release and a spur hammer. The non-railed aluminum-alloy frame and squared trigger guard reflect the period-correct build.
Sights are fixed iron, with an aftermarket Trijicon front blade paired to a plain square-notch rear. Two-piece black checkered polymer grip panels provide a secure, straightforward hold suited to the full-size profile.
Markings and documentation are consistent throughout. The slide is marked "P226" and "Made in W. Germany," and the box label is marked "P226-K." An included factory test target (15 m, 5 shots) is serial-matched, and the U-prefix serials match on the slide and frame. Capacity is 15+1 with the included 15-round steel magazine.
