The Government-size format with a 5-inch match-grade stainless steel barrel delivers the classic 1911 profile with upgraded precision components. The GI-style recoil system with a short guide rod and plug preserves the traditional setup while supporting reliable cycling.
Forged frame and slide construction provide durable fundamentals, paired with a matte stainless/silver slide and overall stainless/silver finish. The pistol uses a short, solid trigger and a spur (GI-style) hammer with an arched mainspring housing for an authentic Mil-Spec feel.
Sighting is straightforward and robust with low-profile fixed 3-dot sights. The slide features rear cocking serrations only, plus a lowered and flared ejection port for enhanced extraction and ejection.
Controls are classic 1911: single-action operation with a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety. Checkered wood grips complete the package, and the 7+1 capacity aligns with traditional .45 ACP Government models.
Markings include an NM-prefix serial number, frame marked "SI GENESEO IL USA," chamber hood marked "S.A. .45 AUTO," right slide marked "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" with the crossed-cannons crest, and left slide marked "MIL-SPEC." Made in the USA.
