The Scout Carbine configuration delivers a compact, single-shot .50 caliber platform designed for black powder or Pyrodex only. Its in-line percussion action provides a straightforward loading path, and the carbine-length 21" round blued steel barrel keeps handling quick and manageable.
Sighting options include open barrel sights with a ramped front blade and an adjustable rear. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and comes with a scope base installed along with Burris rings, offering a ready path to add glass if desired.
The hardwood stock has a straight-comb butt and is fitted with sling studs for carry. Brass furniture includes the buttplate with T/C logo, trigger guard, and barrel band. A brass-tipped under-barrel ramrod is carried beneath the barrel. Length of pull measures 15 inches.
The barrel wears a traditional blued finish while the receiver has a matte treatment. Built in the USA, the Scout series was discontinued after T/C’s 1996 factory fire, adding context to its production timeline.
This example is customized with a carved deer on the buttstock signed "DLR '01" and matching hoof-print motifs on the fore-end and butt, giving it a unique look while retaining the Scout Carbine’s practical features.
