The rifle operates via a gas-operated, long-stroke piston system with an adjustable gas regulator at the front sight base and a rotating bolt. It uses a two-pin upper/lower architecture, a right-side reciprocating charging handle, and a manual safety selector. The interface accepts STANAG magazines and has a 30+1 capacity.
Furniture includes a side-folding polymer stock and a polymer pistol grip, with a ribbed two-piece polymer handguard. Length of pull is 13.5 in. The receiver is forged alloy with a phosphate/anodized finish, matching the overall phosphate/anodized color treatment noted on the rifle.
