The AES-10B layout mirrors the classic RPK format with a 23 inch heavy-profile barrel for sustained fire characteristics, a bulged trunnion, and a reinforced stamped steel receiver. The smooth RPK top cover, right-side carry handle, and RPK-style folding height-adjustable bipod complete the pattern-correct configuration. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with a slant-type compensator.
Iron sights include a hooded AK/RPK front sight post and an RPK tangent rear sight with a windage drum. A left-side Warsaw-pattern optics side rail is present for compatible side-mounts.
This rifle uses a detachable AK-pattern magazine system and is supplied with a 75-round steel drum, yielding a listed capacity of 75+1. The long-stroke gas piston, semiautomatic action keeps operation familiar to AK-pattern users.
